After his Millrose Games feat, he is now the only person in the world to shatter the 3:48 barrier twice.

Yared Nuguse participated in the men’s 5000m run at the 2024 Boston University Terrier Classic. The young lad didn’t just try his hardest and achieve a new personal best of 13:02.09, he also qualified for the Paris Olympics. The Millrose Games champ bagged the third position and gained three seconds over the Olympic qualification mark of 13:05.00.

Speaking about this feat to Citius Mag, Nuguse said, “I’m feeling pretty good. Coming into this race I didn’t really have expectations of getting a standard or anything. Kind of just come out with the boys and see what happens. Really tough race obviously but I’m happy with how I did it, how I come away with my third, and the time I got.”
