She shared a post on her Instagram on Saturday in which she wrote, “Today I was honored by the City of San Diego and Mayor Todd Gloria at the Pacific Islander Festival! So honored to be celebrated by family and the Pacific Islander community here in San Diego!”

The specialist thrower created history in August when she stood atop the podium with a 69.49-meter throw in a discus throw.
