The American track and field athlete, Sha’Carri Richardson is also a fan of Drake who is now attending the live show of the rapper. Recently, Richardson was seen enjoying and grooving with the music in a live concert by the rapper.

Two days ago, Richardson gave a hint to her fans about meeting the rapper in New York. She posted it on her Instagram story and wrote, “I’m gone see you when I see you,” by tagging Drake. After hinting about the meet, Sha’Carri finally met the rapper at his ongoing concert in NYC.

Drake is currently on his ‘It’s All a Blur’ tour with another rapper 21 Savage from Atlanta. They are promoting their collaborative album ‘Her Loss’ on this tour which started on the 5th of July in the United Center, US. It includes more than 35 shows in different cities in two countries, the US and Canada.

Today on the 26th of July, the show is being conducted in Madison Square Garden, New York City, US, where the track and field athlete was also seen attending the show. Richardson is currently attending the live concert and posted the updates on her Instagram story just three hours ago, where she can be seen vibing with the art of music. She shot her video grooving to the Drake song and wrote, “Loll I be in the cut.” But when did this all fangirling start?

The inception of Drake and Richardson’s bond 

Back in 2021, Drake gave a shoutout to Richardson in his song ‘No Friends in the Industry’ saying, “And I’m like Sha’Carri, smoke ’em on and off the track.” It was the time when Richardson tested positive for the drug test and was barred from competing in Tokyo Olympics. However, the lyrics were just for fun and it did not create any grudge between the artist and the athlete. Later, when the American Football Wide receiver, Odell Beckham Junior tweeted asking Richardson about her favorite song, she replied, “‘No Friends in the Industry.” All this created a very sweet bond between Drake and the American sprinter.

Two years ago, Drake’s song created some controversy among fans for mentioning Sha’Carri Richardson in the lyrics. When Richardson finished last in the Prefontaine Classic, some fans said that Drake should have re-recorded the line. However, the two famous personalities did not mind any such fuss but rather created a bond between an artist and a fan.
