As the 37-year-old Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce gears up for one last ride for the 2024 Paris Olympics, the three-time Olympic gold medalist narrowly missed out on another accolade recently. In a recent social media post, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce can be seen enjoying the limelight as she was spotted at the 63rd RJRGLEANER Sports Foundation Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year Awards Ceremony in New Kingston.

With her stealing the show on the cover of Essence Magazine earlier this month, Fraser-Pryce looked to repeat her feat from last year when she won the Sportswoman of the Year honor on the same stage. But at the end of the day, it was her looks that became the highlight of the night for the Olympian.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce upped the fashion game

In an Instagram post, Jamaican sprinter’s fabulous look was highlighted at the RJRGLEANER Sports Foundation’s event. Her gold medal-hauling sprint at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon brought the Sportswoman of the Year title in 2023. Now, as the track mom looked to defend the honor, her red carpet drip underscored her grace outside of the field.

Sporting a beautiful dress for the occasion, the 10-time World Championships gold medalist donned a pink outfit and coupled it with a beige colored bag.

 

The event was held at Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in New Kingston, as Shelly-Ann awaited the final decision of the jury. While she ultimately lost the award to national teammate Sericka Jackson, let’s take a moment to remember Fraser-Pryce’s sensational 2023.

2023 as a stepping stone to the top

While Shelly-Ann didn’t register any gold medals last year, she did manage to retain her name on the record books by finishing the 2023 World Championships on the podium on two occasions. Fraser-Pryce won a bronze in Budapest last year in the 100m event, where she was only usurped by the American sensation Sha’Carri Richardson and her compatriot Shericka Jackson in the first and second place, respectively.

In the 4 x 100m relay event, Fraser-Pryce won the silver with her team, while Team USA secured the top spot. With some stellar display on the track, Fraser-Pryce made a haven in the hearts of millions, don’t you agree?
