Noah Lyles is one of those athletes who remains in the headlines even when he is not on the track competing. Apart from being a phenomenal performer, Lyles has also been one of the major advocates for track and field sports, and he has been vocal about supporting the athletes at every step. More so, he took a jab at the World Athletics on Wednesday after they announced only one award for track and field athletes.

He was disappointed after the federation announced 2023 World Athletes of the Year and suggested that some additional awards like Performance of the Year, Most Improved Athlete, etc. categories should also be there. Just days following this incident, the American sprinter has received a new nomination for a track and field award, an exciting development that shouldn’t go unnoticed.

Track and Fits took it to their Instagram and shared the news with a post that features Noah Lyles in his fashionista persona. The post was accompanied by the caption, “Lane 4: The Track+Fits Award- This award recognizes a leader who over the last 12 months has had major creative impact in the world of track and fashion”,  with Lyles tagged in the same caption.

The reigning triple world champion replied to the post and graciously accepted the nomination with an “I humble accept” comment. He kind of deserved the nomination as he has been the face of many fashion brands lately, which includes walking down the isle for the German clothing and accessories brand Hugo Boss at the 2023 Milan Fashion Week. Lyles also made many heads turn his way when he made a staunch appearance at the 2021 Met Gala. This was second nomination for the Olympian in a span of few days as he had been nominated for another prestigious award recently.
