The 60m hurdles ownership in the men’s category came to Grant Holloway in the same way as he managed the 110m hurdles glory. For him, the only way out proved to be making as many records as possible. This year, the American track and field duke appeared in four 60m hurdles contests. Grant Holloway didn’t receive a lower podium stand in those fights than the top positions. Eventually, the Olympian made a timing of 7.32 in France this year, almost equalling his career-best timing in the event.

But apart from that, it was his 20th time on the 7.40 timing regime in the 60m hurdles. Now again, Grant Holloway was in his favorite track and field affair in the 2024 USATF indoor championship. But all it needed was for him to step into the arena to continue the dream run that almost started 10 years ago.

The ongoing USATF indoor championship is Grant Holloway’s third contest to try out his athletic superhuman prowess. For him, Friday night proved to be the best accompanying factor. However, the final event is on the card, to be happened later. But a champion like Grant Holloway couldn’t care more than he made the prelim event his mainstay. The 26-year-old wore his suit to see another 60m hurdles affair. But this time, he aimed to carry the momentum that he inflicted in France this year. Eventually, Holloway’s mission was successful. “WORLD RECORD FOR GRANT HOLLOWAY…The king of the 60mH continues his 10-year win streak with a 7.27 WORLD RECORD in the prelims at #USATFIndoors”

His opponent, Trey Cunningham, fell behind largely, with a timing of 7.46. But Grant Holloway might take satisfaction, as arch-rival Daniel Roberts could only come to the 6th position with a disappointing 7:58 timing. However, the 2023 WAC medalist qualified for the final round to save another fight with the everlasting champion in the 60m hurdle. Meanwhile, the achieved timing comes as the table topper for Grant Holloway where the list of the best timings in the 60mH in sub-7.3 can see him largely.

Nobody does better than the world champion

For the last ten years, the indoor 60mH titles didn’t let go of Grant Holloway empty-handed. But with that, his record timings also flaunted in the list of all-time greats. However, on the list, only Dayron Robles and Colin Jackson could find places to sit. Otherwise, Grant holds seven good timings on the list, occupying the first three places.

Among those three, today’s timing flew to the top position. The three of his best seven timings came in this year only, in his three contests. Before going to the final, these stats might give a tremor to the world champion’s opponents. However, for Grant Holloway, it might end up being another stroll in the park.
