A couple of days back, Noah Lyles was involved in a dangerous accident. As the newly crowned 100m world champion was about to race the 200m semi-final, Lyles was involved in a golf cart accident. While Lyles and other competitors were being taken to the racetrack, two golf carts collided with each other due to miscommunication.

Lyles was unharmed, however, Jamaican runner Andrew Hudson was not so lucky. Pieces of shattered glass had entered Hudson’s eyes, and a doctor had to take care of the athlete. When the race did resume after a bunch of delays, it was Lyles who secured the top spot with the best time across all heats by running the race in 19.76 seconds. Hours later, Lyles has outdone himself once again to become the world 200m champion in style.
