

Glasgow has become alive as the Commonwealth Arena is hosting the 2024 World Indoor Championships. Day 1 of the event has come out to be action-packed with some of the great matchups and record-breaking performances from track and field champions. One of the notable alongside performances at the event was from Japan’s Shuhei Tada, who stormed to the national record of 6.52 seconds at the 60m heats.

Along the same lines, two of the arch-rivals performed at the showdown to dominate each other. Interestingly, the 60m dash at the World Indoor championships has been most awaited as it featured Noah Lyles competing against Christian Coleman at the event. However, Coleman is not the only person Noah is being compared to these days.

After the commencement of the 60m dash at the World Athletics Championships, Athletics Weekly took it to their official Twitter account and posted a glimpse of the interview they conducted with the six-time world champion sprinter. Alongside the video, they penned, “Noah Lyles states now most track and field stars are getting paid, there should be more transparency, and the sport has to adjust with it.”

In a recent interview with Sportspromedia, Noah Lyles said, “When I first signed with Adidas in 2016 along with my brother, Josephus, that was like a dream come true for us.” Soon after signing the deal, Noah wasted no time showing his true colors at the event. Directly, after this, won the Diamond League 200m title in his first year and then accomplished the title of “finest Sprinters America has ever produced” featuring world titles in 2019, 2022, and 2023.

As Noah once again signed the deal, critics drew a comparison between Noah and Usain Bolt as both of them have accomplished big sports deals. Noah shared, “I definitely wish we were able to say how much it was…I am not gonna lie. There was a number in there that was very, very close to the real thing.” He added, “It’s over for you all,” to shut up all the critics regarding the deal. Now, Noah is focusing on the finals of the ultimate clash.
