British actor, Tom Hiddleston, is not only known for his iconic cinematic presence but also for his athletic prowess. Hence, in a Marvel meet Manchester turn of events, Loki made his debut at the Soccer Aid 2023, owing to his love for the sport and as the UNICEF ambassador. The match took place in June at the iconic Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium. The actor was playing for England against the Soccer Aid World XI FC.

Nevertheless, the opponent’s starstudded team comprised many heavyweight soccer stars. However, what Tom Hiddleston had not expected was to face the fastest man in the world on the soccer field.

Jamaican sprinting icon, Usain Bolt has a proclivity to dominate the field no matter which sporting arena it is. Whether it be on the track or the football field, the Lightning Bolt clinches victory with his unparalleled agility. Nonetheless, he bid the “sports life” goodbye after not being able to go pro since his soccer debut. However, when the occasion called for it, the eight-time Olympic gold medallist revived his goal-scoring prowess opposite the trickster god Loki.

Tom Hiddleston was keen to do his part, but he already knew the outcome of their scuffle. The best way he could explain Usain Bolt‘s speed was to bestow upon him the new moniker of an “express train”.

In the interview, he conceded with the Jamaican’s godly prowess. Tom Hiddlestone pointed out that Bolt’s feet touch the ground at an unimaginable speed, giving the impression of him floating in the air. The Soccer Aid is an annual sporting event to raise money for UNICEF. This year, the event made £14.6 million to help out the children in need. This achievement took the sting out of losing the match 4-2 against the World team for Tom Hiddleston.

His motto going into the match was, “I’m out there with some of the greatest players in the world and my resolution is to just work hard, run all day, stay alert”. But no amount of tact or strategy was enough to contend against Usain Bolt.
