WNBA Draft 2024: Caitlin Clark’s Prada to Angel Reese’s Glam Look, Gabby Thomas Overwhelmed by the Orange Carpet

The 27-year-old track star, Gabby Thomas who already owns victories in her name from the Olympics and World Championships, also showed deep interest in the fashion world lately. This was when an Italian luxury fashion house recently partnered with the Women’s National Basketball Association, to style its athletes for the WNBA Draft that was held on the 15th of April 2024.

The draft was scheduled following the successful season of the 2023–24 NCAA Division I, it was the 29th NBA draft that covered all legendary basketball players in the meet.

Stunned at the glamourous manner in which Prada had styled the women’s basketball reigning legends for the NBA Draft event, Gabby Thomas expressed her elation for the same. A post on the official account of the track and field star read, “These ladies are giving us look after look.” While the Front Office Sports page on X reported the greatest collegiate basketball player dressed in Prada, the post also mentioned that it was the very first time Prada had collaborated with this sports industry.

Angel Reese, an American basketball player for the Chicago Sky, on the other hand looked mesmerizing with her glittery dress and her nails and teeth grills jewellery done by She Polished and Essential Grillz. One of the posts on X awed her beauty by writing, “Shut down the Orange Carpet because Angel Reese just cleared everyone at the WNBA Draft.” The WNBA Draft was therefore a huge success, as it spread wid e across the American audience who follow sports. Just like Gabby Thomas, who in spite of her own descent of accolades, is a great supporter of women eyeing other sports, there were many others too who acknowledged the NBA Draft.

While Caitlin Clark was awarded the No. 1 overall in the WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever on Monday night, she gained a newfound popularity as a prolific shooting guard from IOWA lately. She clinched the number one position because she had set the NCAA all-time scoring mark which had reaped records for attendance and television viewership, as per the statistics.

Angel Reese, 2023 NCAA’s ‘most outstanding player’, who was assigned the No.7 pick in the WNBA draft got  immense acknowledgements from her colleagues. “She’s a great player and I’m a great player. Nobody’s gonna get more rebounds than us.”, said Kamilla Cardoso who will be teaming with Reese in the upcoming matches.
