While his statement was shared on the Reddit platform, he declared to pass on the clean chit only to-the-date world record holder in the 100m and 200m, Usain Bolt and indirectly blamed the rest of his fellow athletes for a probable chance of doping. This engaged a pandemonium in the comment section by the Lyles fans. While some took his side and there were others, who did not find it suitable to second him.

A daring statement, provoked the fandom

While Noah Lyles was asked to prove the doubters wrong in the above-mentioned regard, fans showcased their provocation by making statements on when doping is most common. One of the fans declared his own opinion, “I hate cheaters and dopers, but I think it’s relevant to mention that some guys were connected to doping AFTER their peak…To me, that doesn’t mean they were always doping, when they got those times specifically.

Amidst Noah Lyles himself making a bold statement related to athletic doping, the social media audience doubted his confidence and stated, Hopefully Lyles is clean/undetectable. Last thing we need is someone digging up the golden boy’s bones.” and “Yeah, although I don’t think (or I hope that) he wouldn’t be talking about something like this while using banned substances.”

Adding a funny angle to the same, others wrote,Honestly, it would be funny to see him run 19.1 to prove the doubters wrong. I still don’t know if he can do it, but I would certainly like to see him try.” “If these current shoes were around at Bolt’s peak, they’d be trying for 18.9. Bolt is quite the gentleman to not make that comment”, said a Usain Bolt fan, doubting the rest athletic industry, but leaving aside the GOAT himself.
