In last year’s iteration of it, Christian Coleman defeated Noah Lyles in the 100-meter dash. Coleman triumphed over Lyles, clocking in at 9.78 while Lyles finished at 9.80. After edging Lyles in the event, Coleman remarked,  “It’s cliche, [but I] just stay in my lane, I wanted to] just execute everything that we have been working on. I knew I would be hard to beat if I do that.” Despite fierce rivalry, friendship soars between Noah Lyles and Coleman.
