Olympic bronze medalist Lyles astonished the world with his extraordinary speed at the 2024 USATF Indoor Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on Feb. 17. He defeated Coleman for the first time by one-hundredth of a second, in the 60m finals, clocking a personal best time of 6.43 seconds. However, that does not take it all from Coleman. Coleman still is the world record holder in the 60m (6.34 seconds) from 2018. It was also just the third time, since 2016, that Coleman did not win a 60m race. But what do the odds say?

At Bwin Sportsbook, Christian Coleman’s chances at winning gold are at the odds of -110, while Noah Lyles trails with odds of +130. None of the other competitors in the field range closer to the betting odds. According to Forbes, Oddsmakers also believe that Coleman will not let Lyles get close in the rematch. However, Noah is a strong contender because he has radically improved his performance in 60m for the past few years.
