One Month After Making World Lead, 25-Year-Old American Dominates Again at the USATF Indoor Championships

As a gateway to the World Athletics Indoor Championships, the ongoing USATF Indoor Championships is serving a peak delight to its spectators. Track stars Noah Lyles and Christian Coleman have pitched up to defend their titles and take another step toward success. But among the top names, shined the name of Brian Faust, the 25-year-old who just secured his 400m win, clocking in at 45.47.

However, today’s 400m isn’t his only win of 2024, as his achievement of the world-leading time in 300m came on 13th January. In the 2024 Clemson Invitational, Faust sprinted toward the finish line by clocking an impressive 32.36 seconds.

The Purdue Boilermakers Alumnus Faust edged out the runners-up by 0.01s at the USATF Indoor Championships. Though the margin is small, the former’s electrifying display stood as a testament to months of mindful training.

In the upcoming World Athletics Indoor Championships starting from March 1, the 25-year-old will look to secure a berth at the Paris Olympics 2024. On February 16, another 400m victory came in Albuquerque, but the score trailed behind the winning one by 0.10s. Having said so, let’s take a look at the Clemson Invitational victor’s track record.

Brian Faust’s illustrious track career

Faust was registered with the Purdue Boilermakers for the 2018-2021 season. With three Big Ten Conference medals in his purse, he also boasts four All-American titles. His team performance has also shown colors on account of his 11 top-10 times in team history. After setting three of seven swiftest 4×100 relay times, he was the owner of a nearly 11-year-old long-standing record in 400m, 500m, and 600m.

Moreover, to dig more of his victories out, we have his name in the 200m record in program history, for being among the top-10. With Paris Olympics on its way, the 25-year-old may aim for defending his 400m title in the French capital.
