As reported by Our Today, 25-year-old Brown once appeared on Kareem Bwoyatingz’s podcast, where she uncovered the truth about her relationship with Richardson. She revealed that she first laid eyes on Richardson during an award show. The two of them started dating during the pandemic when she was 21 years old, while Richardson was 19 years old. She added that the relationship took a disheartening turn when it involved mental, verbal, and physical abuse from both parties.

Talking about it, Brown said, “We were both abusive, mentally, verbally, physically, everything, and if I’m going be on this and keeping it real as f***, we been abusive through most of this relationship.” The couple dated for almost two years before they ended their romance in February 2022. She also blamed their lack of maturity owing to their ages for the cause of their problems.

Brown further added that it was a lesson for her and that she would not entertain the prospect of rekindling their relationship. Richardson once publicly acknowledged her past relationship with Brown through an Instagram story. Despite the ugly end to their relationship, Sha’Carri Richardson took to social media to defend her ex from criticism.

In a statement, she said, “I did go online and expose a part of my life that didn’t need to be exposed for the simple fact that I was hurt.”
