At the tender age of 15, he became Uganda’s youngest Olympian as he graced the grand stage of the 2016 Rio Summer Games.

Venturing into the senior competition in 2020, Kiplimo then asserted his dominance and claimed the world half marathon title in Gdynia. Yet, it was on the cobblestone streets of Lisbon where he accomplished an impressive feat by shattering the world record for a half marathon.
