Sha’Carri Richardson was 19 when she became one of the 10 fastest women in history. However, from testing positive for THC right before the Tokyo Olympics to being banned by an airline, she has barely evaded controversy. Despite the ebbs and flows, Richardson has recently made a strong comeback at the athletics events. Now, just ahead of her big race against her Jamaican rival, Richardson has dropped a heartfelt message for her fans.
Sha’Carri Richardson will soon be locking horns with her fierce rival Shericka Jackson, who won the world 200 m in the recent past. Unworried about the race that is about to happen, the former showed signs of progress and improvement in her new clip.

Sha’Carri Richardson has never felt better
Sha’Carri Richardson recently took to her Instagram and made a video about how things have slightly started to get better for her. For a long time, she felt hurt, disappointed, and confused. Regarding it, she said on her Instagram, “I was going through the things I was going through, I was experiencing the things I was experiencing, the pain that I was feeling. That’s why all of these things were happening to me?” Richardson asked this question to herself in those tough times.

She then said, “And I know that now because I had to return back to my faith”. Richardson found a strong mental balance in her life, one that she needed for a long time. She continued, “And I feel so much better. That?s why y?all say I?m back. I am not back, I am Better”, clearing up that she had never gone anywhere, neither was she out of form.
Richardson’s road to track and field success hasn’t been an easy one. After being tested positive for cannabis use, she was disqualified to compete at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. If things weren’t already downhill, earlier this year she was also let off an American Airlines flight after an altercation with the flight attendant.

All she wants to do is continue running
Richardson also received a lot of flak online and she tried to deal with them in a peaceful way. But at the Miramar Invitational in Florida recently, Richardson won her first race of the season. Parallely, she also won the hearts of all track and field fans around the world. She will soon be running at the Diamond League Season in Doha, Qatar. There, besides Jackson, she will also race against Britain?s Dina Asher-Smith among others. And her sportsperson spirit couldn’t be more on-point.

In her post, she also shared an image that read, “Whether I run it fast or slow, Long as I just keep on running”, just adding another example of how much of a better place she is in right now. Not only is Richardson feeling healthy in the mind, but she also looks forward to dominating the track and field events. Given that she is all but 23, she might have all the time in the world to do so.
