Interestingly, she, at the age of 60 realized her passion and started running. Now, running acts as fuel for her body, making her practice 6 days a week. However, Betty not only enjoys running as a physical activity but also likes to make headlines by conquering the ultimate test of her endurance. Interestingly enough, her elixir is that she is the won her first race at the age of 91 and judging by her track record, the almost centenarian was a breath of fresh air at a marathon of late, giving her younger counterparts a run for their money.

Alongside the clip, they penned, “Betty lindberg, 98, finished the publix atlanta 5k race in under an hour. She holds the world record for a 5-killometer race in the 95-99 age group. Despite starting later, she not only found solace but also a purpose in tracks, pushing herself to the utmost limits while inspiring others along the way. Her disciplined training regimen has not only increased her endurance but also allowed her to excel in race and breaking records.

Despite facing inevitable physical challenges associated with her age, she made it to the finish line at the Atlanta Peachtree Marathon Weekend 5K in 55:48. She roared on tracks by completing 30 minutes before the recorded time of 1:28:36.

But Betty’s perception of herself is quite different from others. “I am glad that people are inspired by me, but it is not my aim to go out there and do that, expressed Betty to Local Media.
