Dakotah Lindwurm, the back-to-back Grandma’s marathon victor, didn’t have a telling career start. But being the first Minnesotan to have secured a spot at the 2024 Summer Games, her ecstasy knows no bounds. But there are several things to her beyond track than meets the eye.

US Olympic Trial to the Olympics would be a journey to cherish

Letsrundotcom’s Instagram account decided to accolade Lindwurm for her never give up’ attitude. The host took us on a ride where we had a glimpse of the 28-year-old’s bland career path turning to gold. He said, “To me, the bigger upset isn’t making the team. It’s that she didn’t give up when she wasn’t a very good high school runner. And she didn’t give up when she was an okay D2 runner, but could’ve easily just given up on competitive running after that. She’s like the example of don’t give up”.The event that reinvigorated her, saw Lindwurm’s matured mindset in comparison with the others who celebrated early.

Making way to her first Olympic roster, a single misstep would have cost her heavily. Her statement “I just felt like I just needed to get to the finish line, touch the finish line, and then celebrate. still resonates. Immediately after her win, coach Chris Lundstrom was caught in a candid interview setting with letsrundotcom. Let’s hear him out.

But watching her perform with an ear-to-ear smile has not only captured hearts of fans but also her father, who has seen her flutter closely.
