The ongoing Pan American Games is among the most anticipated tournaments, featuring athletes from multiple sports. This event has never disappointed spectators and kept them on the edge of their seats while watching remarkable performances. While athletes pour their heart and soul into the tournament, the USA has again made it to clinch one of the top spots.

Not only one but three of the track and field athletes from Team USA have managed to clinch bronze medals, adding to the USA’s medal collection. Although Team USA fell short of clinching a gold, the athletes managed to soar the USA’s flag high.

Glory to the USA, sans gold

Although Track and field spectators were quite disappointed by the performances of the USA’s athletes, three of them managed to keep up with the expectations. In a recent post, USATF highlighted the achievements by American Athletes. The post was captioned as, “Ednah Kurgat ran 33:16.61 in the 10,000 – Team USATF’s first medal of the Pan Am Games Tiffany Flynn jumped 6.40m for long jump bronze Demarius Smith, Honour Finley, Richard Johnson, and Jada Griffin clocked 3:19.41 in the mixed 4×400”

The first medal for Team USA was marked by one of the best track-and-field athletes on the Plate of Team USA. Ednah Kurgat not only clinched the first bronze for the team but also recorded a run in 33:16:63 in the Women’s 10,000-meter final race. In addition to this, she was only 3.62 away from Luz Rojas Llanco, the first contender in the race.

On the other hand, Tiffany Flynn clinched another bronze medal for Team USA in the Women’s Long Jump Final event. She not only stood in the third position but also secured a jump of 6.40m. In addition to this, she recorded the jump falling 2. These first two bronze medals were featured on the 30th October final track and field event. However, the trial of medals is still ongoing.

Keep an eye on the US men

Even though women athletes secured the first two medals, the men’s track and field team added more to the collection. In the mixed 4×400 meters track and field event, Demarius Smith and Richard Johnson paired with Honour Finley and Jada Griffin to bag bronze medals. The medal was secured in the 3:19:41 clocked time.

Even though the performance of track and field stars of the USA was not enough to clinch gold, they added bronze medals to the collection of their country. However, the hope for Team USA to stand atop the podium is still alive. Today, the 1500 Men’s Decathlon event is scheduled to take place at 5:08.
