The dabblers from the regular sprinting genre gain the mentioned designation to see themselves in the All-American team for further heights in the sport. Recently, prior to the upcoming Olympic razzmatazz, this time the newcomers’ entry into the juncture raised commotion. The name listed proved worthy of making the track and field community awe-inspired by one pocket rocket. 

Junior Olympic nationals’ Sadie Hamon christened as the new All-American 

The 2023 USATF National Junior Olympics Cross Country Championships organized the meet in Louisville, Kentucky this time. The gusty weather roughed up the age-based competition of boys falling in the group of 15-18 but the mood swung pretty up after the result of the 7-8 year age group surfaced on December 9. As reported by wenatcheeworld. com, the 2000m sprinting gathered 232 aspiring young guns on that day. It took Sadie Hamon a scintillating 7:32.4 to overcome the pack and gain the All-American status. “I knew I had to start fast because it was such a big race. Once I had the lead, I wasn’t going to let someone else take it.” But that was easy to hear, but a lot to attain on the track.

Sadie Hamon knew that well. She murmured the winning glance at herself and from previous experiences; she had an inkling of what to do. That came pretty wandering for a 3rd-grade student who also shows her knack in other physically intensive sports like skiing. In that boot also, Sadie donned the champion’s hat two times in the Washington Nordic Cup. Her mother, Darci Glass, explained the reason for her daughter’s unending victory run. 

The reason behind the success 

“She is quite a go-getter. She doesn’t like to follow”, came from someone who watched many Olympic-level sprinters in the past. Besides being the mother of Sadie Hamon, Darci also plays the coaching role of cross country and long-distance sprinting dept. in the Eastmont High School. But in the event, even she couldn’t hide her awe at Sadie’s historical performance. “It was so exciting to watch, and I was just so impressed by her strength and determination.” However, it was a hard finish for Sadie, as Darci yielded, “she had a competitor who kept trying to pass her, but Sadie fought so hard and just wouldn’t let her go by.”

In the end, Sadie Hamon received her medal and the auspicious red hat on the podium to seal her All-American status. We hopefully have a future embellished star in our hands.
