Getting trained with Track and field legend Usain Bolt, Guilhermina made it to the spotlight with that remarkable sprint. The Sprint is an iconic piece as she ran and tore the finishing tape before anyone else. She made this accomplishment with the valuable guidance of her guide.  Post the win, the triumphant athlete had said, “It’s like a present, a miracle to get the gold medal. Today, I showed to the world how strong I am and how well I can do.”

She continued to build her astonishing resume with 200 meters, where she not only clinched gold but also shattered the world record of 24.67 sec. In addition, she not only made 1 incredible win but also made 4 consecutive wins, etching her name in history. Thus, 2012, for Guilhermina is not only a milestone in her career but also a record that she made while competing with herself.
