Athletes competing in the Junior Category have always been on the top list of spectators. These athletes showing their true potential at a very young age also give a cue to the spectators about who will be the future champions. Apart from performing in their respective sports, junior athletes have to spare a thought for their academics as well. While choosing the right institution is crucial for them from an academic perspective, there remains a major interest in the sporting world regarding which institution they will grace with their sporting talents.

Big catches for two top institutions

This year, six proficient junior athletes excelling in shotput throw are qualified for college admissions. The recent Instagram post by Throwers Universe was captioned, “Where some of the top throwers of the 2024 class are headed to next Oregon & Iowa with two HUGE recruits each…” Most junior sports enthusiasts prefer to be admitted to either the University of Oregon or the University of Iowa.

On the other hand, top throwers Bryce Ruland and Lilly Lowry will be admitted to the University of Iowa. However, Brayden Platt, the Javelin thrower, is enrolled at the University of Oregon this year.
