The breakdown of the prize money published by World Athletics shows an impressive total of US$2,464,000 offered across the 2024 Glasgow Indoor Champs. High stakes dangled with a $50,000 performance bonus for athletes who set new world records in the event. In addition, the standard distribution of prize money started with $40,000, $20,000, and $10,000 for podium finishers. Followed by $8000, $6000, and $4000 reward until sixth place finish. After dominating the Budapest World Championships last year, Femke Bol entered the Glasgow event with many eyes awaiting her champion finish. Later speaking with Olympics.com, Bol said, “I knew I needed a really good race to win this gold.
