25-year-old Noah Lyles is currently the star of the moment. The American sprinting prodigy put on a great show of his performance by winning the Racers Grand Prix at Kingston. He trounced Great Britain’s Zharnel Hughes and clocked 19.76 seconds in the men’s 200m on June 3. Moreover, Lyles’s celebration doubled as he got greeted by none other than Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt.

On Saturday, Oluwadare, a Track and field correspondent, proudly shared about the glorious win of Noah Lyles in a video. In the reel, Bolt can be seen appreciating Lyles for his incredible win.

Usain Bolt’s proud gesture for Noah Lyles

The Twitter video featured Usain Bolt, scurrying down the National Stadium amidst the crowd to congratulate Noah Lyles. On the other hand, when the 25-year-old spotted Bolt, he enthusiastically came toward him and greeted Lightning Bolt back. The athletes hugged each other, flaunting their staunch sportsmanship and respect for one another. Cheers erupted among spectators when both the sprinters concluded their brief meeting with high-fives. 

The two-time world champion finished the 200 m race within an astonishing 19.67 second time frame. He effortlessly left behind his competitors Zharnel Hughes and Rasheed Dwyer. However, the British athlete came second in 20.14 seconds, whereas Dwyer achieved third place in 20.53 seconds.

Moreover, recognizing Lyles’s impeccable running prowess for a long time, Bolt showed his confidence in the athlete recently. During an interview with the World Athletics on June 4, Bolt stated about Noah Lyles, “Younger athletes are coming up. I have seen a few personalities, Noah Lyles is a personality that really is needed in the sport.”

Usain Bolt extended his support for Simone Biles in 2021

During the 2021 Olympics, gymnast Simone Biles stunned the world by walking out of the stadium, prioritizing her mental health. Her courageous gesture was appreciated by many. Legend Usain Bolt was also one of them. He expressed his support for Biles in an interview,  “Personally, I really appreciate Simone Biles for pushing off the Olympics. It’s always good to take care of yourself first, and then everything will fall into place.”
