USA Triumphs Over Korea in the FIVB Olympic Qualifier

In the thrilling match at the FIVB Road to Paris Olympic Qualifier in Lodz, the USA women’s National Volleyball Team exhibited remarkable resilience as they defeated Korea with a score line of 3-1 (20-25, 25-17, 25-19, 25-17). Jordan Thompson, the standout performer of the game, sharing her thoughts with USAVolleybal, stated, “Korea threw a lot at us with their scrappy defense and tough serves. We just need to settle in and find our rhythm after the first set.” 

In the initial set, Korea led in kills and aces, capitalizing on the American team’s errors. However, the USA women’s tenacity shone through in the following three sets, where they dominated in kills, blocks, and aces. USAVolleyball posted a tweet on their official page shortly after the game, accompanied by a triumphant photo of the team celebrating their win. The tweet read, “Jordan Thompson led all scorers with 26 points as the U.S. Women came back from a first-set loss to beat Korea 3-1 (20-25, 25-17, 25-19, 25-17) at the FIVB Road to Paris Olympic Qualifier in Poland.”
