How did the Iowa State Volleyball Team defeat Kansas?

Kansas started as favorites in the match. But the match took an unexpected turn, and Iowa State’s volleyball team emerged victorious. A recent tweet by the Iowa State Volleyball mentioned, “DOWN GOES NO. 14”. Soon after entering the battle, both teams put their best foot forward. Iowa started off by winning the first set. However, Kansas came back brilliantly to claim the second and third sets. However, they ultimately failed to convert it to a win.

After putting up a tough fight, Kansas had to let go of the fourth set, 25-23. The last set saw the Cyclones doing justice to their name, as they clinched it with a formidable 15-3. The Kansas volleyball team not only lost the match 3-2 but also lost their undefeated streak. In the past 6 games, team Kansas has managed to maintain an undefeated streak.

Notably, the recent win is crucial for Iowa State’s Volleyball team as it not only passed with flying colors but also defeated the top 2 team at the Big 12 conference. While Kansas has a record of 9-3 wins, Iowa State’s Volleyball team maintains 7-5 wins, marking 7 wins and 5 losses in the past 12 matches.

Team Cyclone features exceptional players in the Big 12 Conference, including Nayelo Gonzales, with 33 kills and a .329 hitting percentage in the past few matches. In addition to this, she is also aiming to clinch first in the conference to earn the Rookie of the Week honor in the Big 12 conference this season.

Reaghan Cooper, on the plate of team Kansas, leads the team with overall 246 kills in the season and a .355 hitting percentage.

In the upcoming matches, Iowa State will be hitting to meet a pair of ranked opponents in the upcoming week.
