The recent tweet by Nittany Lions wrestler Shayne Van Ness was captioned, “Injury and pain is just a small price to pay for the enjoyment of battle! “ – Kenpachi Zaraki” As per the recent declaration by Penn State’s Coach Cael Sanderson, One of the key players Shayne will be withdrawing himself from this season due to injuries.

As per the recent interview by Flowrestling, Sanderson said, “Unfortunately, he’s had issues with something, and it’s kind of gotten tough, and kind of got tweaked again in practice and (he will) get it repaired and get ready for next year, obviously, he’ll be sorely missed, and there’s nothing worse than injuries.”

But Penn State’s Van Ness is one of many people who would be missing from the team. Alex Facundo, who began at 165 pounds in the competing category last season, will opt for the redshirt this season. This means that he would prepare for the upcoming Olympic trials and will focus on that only.

He is not allowed to participate in any other event as a part of college or school ahead of the event he is preparing for. Unfortunately, Vann Ness and Alex Facundo’s withdrawal has made spectators quite upset. But who will replace these two remarkable wrestlers?
