The major reason for the event’s popularity is the USA’s incredible roaster coming up with enthralling showdowns each day. Interestingly, Greco Romans kick-started the Pan American Championship with seven podium finishes on day 1.

In a showdown reminiscent of Mason’s past triumphs, he concluded the 125kg final bout, securing yet another gold medal through “injury default”. This triumphant victory has added another shining chapter to Parris’ Pan American Championships medal collection, building upon his previous year’s conquest, where he defeated Jose Robertti by 3-0 to stand atop the podium. But for Parris, the quest for gold was more than a pursuit of individual glory.
