Relentless takedowns doomed the Campbell Camels
The Nebraska Huskers Wrestling Team came fully prepared to host their first game of the season. The entire team of Nebraska registered multiple takedowns against its opponents, especially in the early stages of the bout. This forced its opponents to first nullify a disadvantage before getting a shot at victory.
Even Nebraska redshirt freshman Jake Van Dee followed the same strategy to clinch a win in the 133-pound weight class. He started off his bout against Logan Hile and secured two takedowns in the very first period. While this created pressure on the Camel wrestler, Van Dee loosened up and bided his time to pull off an escape and a reversal to win by decision.
