At present, Nick Suriano can only think of the upcoming US Olympics wrestling trial hosting to be in April. The American freestyle wrestler earned his ticket to the mentioned event recently after winning the Pan American Games in Acapulco. The 61-kg last bout against the rival Juan Lavat Cortez couldn’t create a lot of sweat on him on Friday. But the learned wrestler knows that his upcoming grappling will be hard in the coming days. The courtesy goes to the speculated 57-kg fight against the phenom, Spencer Lee in the Olympic trial. However, the 26-year-old New Jersey native may get motivation from a budding star from the alleys of NJ.

Recently, the news channels spent a handful of time covering that child wrestler. She holds some high qualities backing her Olympics chances.

The by-lanes of NJ have a star-studded gem

“They asked me every day ‘When are we going to start?’”, a proud father shared talking about his daughters’ inquiry to him. The mentioned individual, Glenn Cannici, dons multiple hats. Hailing from a wrestling background is just one. Eventually, his little daughter, Quinn Cannici, made the best use of her father’s prowess in honing her grappling techniques. But for her age, the wrestling achievements came slightly early. As the ABC7NY dictated in its FB post on Saturday, Quinn is just 7 years old. Without hiding their belief, the news channel captioned the FB post with, Quinn Cannici from Oakland, New Jersey is already an award-winning wrestler as a seven-year-old girl.”

In a further development of the news, Quinn Cannici’s family background proved to be beneficial for her wrestling spree. Apart from having her father’s tutelage, the sprouting wrestler brimmed with joy, getting her sister along with her. Brooke Cannici, the elder sister, holds several titles to register her upper hand over the talented sibling. But she calmly stated, “Wrestling with my sister is really fun because we get to do things together and get to go to tournaments together.” But to continue with an Olympics dream, the family is privy to the challenges. However, they kept their answer ready to initiate their guard.

An Olympics motivation comes from iron-cast grit

Brooke Cannici prefers to be a neurosurgeon in her later career. But an adamant Quinn can only hold her Olympics choice much above her career aspiration. She has her mother, Molly’s supporting certificate with her. She just is like an Energizer bunny, so I was like let’s try it,” the mother sealed the deal for her younger daughter with that. As of now, Quinn Cannici already boasts of having 72 pins. In April, she will appear in her fight to extend it.
