Bo Bassett eyes history, aiming for an unprecedented fourth Super 32 title

For the uninitiated, the Super 32 Challenge is one of the most prestigious high school wrestling tournaments in the country. And securing a win in the same is not an easy feat. But for Bassett, it seems to be part of his regular chores. Bassett has managed to win the Super 32 challenge not once or twice but is a three-time Super 32 champion. And now he is looking forward to doing something no one has done before. Winning the Super 32 challenge four consecutive times during his high school years!

After the victory in the 2024 Super 32 Championship, Bassett was caught in a candid conversation with WIN Magazine. While throwing light on his feelings after winning the third Super 32 title, Bo Bassett shared how he is aiming to cement his status as the ‘only one’ in the records book. Reflecting on his next goal, he stated, “No one’s ever done four in high school. That’s my goal; be the first ever and go down maybe as the only one ever.” Bassett’s impeccable prowess on the mat and winning streak have caught the attention of the wrestling world, including NCAA prospects

However, as of now, his focus remains squarely on the Super 32. As he puts it, “…right now it’s one of the hardest things to do in wrestling. No one’s ever done it… People have been world champions. They’ve been four-time state champions or four-time Iron Man, but they’ve never done four-time Super 32. That’s a big goal of mine, and it’ll be on my mind for the next 300, 600 days.”
