The fiasco regarding Jordan Burroughs’ shocking bidding adieu to the wrestling trial and the incidents henceforth is showing no chance of stopping. The Olympic champion’s defeat to Penn State’s Jason Nolf on April 19 ended his chance of Paris Olympics participation. But then the raging fans of Penn State sprinkled salt on Jordan Burroughs’ wound after the match.

Furthermore, the situation went down after a fan’s disgusting attack on the legend. That eventually called up Daniel Cormier to take the reins of the changing status quo. The former NCAA wrestling legend and MMA host took the attack to the speculated fans who showed no respect to the legend even after his low moments yesterday.

In a post on X, Cormier penned, “What a piece of trash this guy is. To yell go home to a guy who’s represented our country the right way for 13 years/ 7 world or Olympic titles is insane.” Moreover, he supported JB’s staffers on the same note who remained alongside the wrestler, backing him while the surroundings were busy booing.

In this admittance, DC named Mark Manning, the Nebraska Wrestling HC, who came out loathing at the attackers while Burroughs was leaving the arena. Apart from sharing boom in the NCAA wrestling contest this time, JB holds a special place on Cormier’s aesthetic, which was on display in the X-post. However, the wrestling legend might have it coming after his recent attacks on Penn State on several occasions.

Penn State remembers Jordan Burroughs dearly

In the US Olympic wrestling trial on Friday, Jordan Burroughs reached the final to face Penn State’s Jason Nolf after defeating Mitchell Mesenbrink, another Penn State standout in the semifinal. However, he invited a series of flak when, despite winning the bout, he pushed Mesenbrink’s head onto the ground. Soon, while leaving the tunnel, Jordan Burroughs received plenty of boos. Moreover, his previous outpourings as well had enraged the PSU fans beforehand.

In March, while doing NCAA wrestling commentary, the 2012 gold Olympic medalist said something offensive regarding the PSU great Carter Starocci. Furthermore, he pointed out Starocci’s niggling injury to take advantage of the wrestler in the upcoming contests. Jordan did not stop there.

While another PSU great and MMA pro Bo Nickal came out supporting Starocci, JB brandished his words against Nickal. Both incidents were never welcomed by the Penn State fans. Rather, things were expected to gain more heat in the US Olympic wrestling trial at the Bryce Jordan Centre, the arena the PSU fans call ‘Home’. However, in the late hours, the good part is that the legends are still with Jordan Burroughs. Daniel Cormier’s X-post has attested to that.
