David Taylor never shies away from standing atop the podium through his incredible prowess on the mat. Following suit, the 2023 wrestling season turned out to be an extraordinary one for David Taylor as he added more accolades to his already impressive resume. But Taylor’s thirst is not quenched yet. As the 2024 Paris Olympics is on its verse, the wrestler is looking for an opportunity to clinch a ticket for the upcoming big event. 

Therefore, the 2021 Tokyo Olympics gold medalist is pouring his heart and soul into the preparation. Along similar lines, David took it to his YouTube account and posted a video clip revealing three preparation tips he is opting for the upcoming Olympics. Along with the video, he penned, “Three things I’m doing this week in preparation for the Olympic year.”

In the video, he said, “Three things I’m doing this week, one, stop drinking your calories; add those in your coffee and sugary drinks. Number two, stop eating after 7 o’clock. Number three, 12-hour fast, 7-7. Those are the three things I’m doing this week that will start to get my body primed, starting before bringing the next thing that I gotta do.”

Interestingly, Taylor did not reflect on the wrestling techniques or exercises that he is opting for to prepare. Instead, Taylor revealed the eating habits he has been adding to his dietary plan to prepare his body to stay primed. As he is all girded up with his dietary routine in check, he is looking forward to clinch another gold in the French capital.

Taylor was defeated by the opponent wrestler at the 2016 Olympics way before he had the opportunity to clinch an Olympic medal. But he came back stronger and proved the spectators wrong. Paving his path by defeating all the opponents along the way, David Taylor not only overcame intense pressure at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics but also made Hassan Yazdani settle with a silver medal. Now, as the 2024 Paris Olympics nears, spectators are looking forward to Taylor’s staunch performance.

Last year, at the 2023 World Wrestling Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia, Taylor clinched the world title along with a direct pass to the upcoming Paris Olympics qualifiers. Even though Taylor has an opportunity to compete directly in the finals, he still has to defeat the opponent wrestler to clinch the Olympic Spot.
