Impressively, the results of the polls show that approximately 91.8% of the spectators opted for David Taylor, declaring him the 2024 Paris Olympics Gold medalist in the eyes of supporters. The major reason for spectators having heavy expectations from Taylor is his winning mindset, apart from his long list of accolades.

As per a recent Instagram post, Taylor confessed, “I want to be the best; that’s the only mentality I know.” Since it takes more to do than just saying, Taylor is training hard with his body to gain momentum on the road to Paris while eyeing the gold. He added, “I’ll give everything I have for as long as it takes,” ensuring spectators about his unwavering determination. However, he is not the alone contender on the road to glory.

Being a stepping stone on the road to the 2024 Paris Olympics, wrestlers are currently looking forward to the Pan American Championships as it not only helps them to uplift their ranks but also offers them US Olympic Trial tickets. A large contingent of top contenders, including Helen Maroulis, Kyle Dake, and Alex Sancho, has already secured their places in the National trials by virtue of their gold medals in the tournament.

Even though David Taylor paved his path to the US Olympic Trials finals by securing a gold medal at the World Championships last year, the tourney is not as easy as it may seem. In men’s 86 kg freestyle, where David belongs to, Chance Marsteller has secured his place in the trials. In addition to this, there is a possibility that Taylor will be defending the Olympic spot from wrestlers of his alma mater, NLWC, as recently 12 of them qualified for national team trials. It remains to be seen if David can do justice to the belief fans have in him.
