The wrestling head coach of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Tom Brands, appeared in a fiery mood when taking a stand for his proteges. Rather, the legendary coach took the fight on to the authorities. According to him, the authorities conducted objectionable measures in the investigation, which darkened the program related to the ongoing NCAA betting scam. And Tom Brands has unparalleled trust in his wrestlers.

So, showcasing that trust, Brands took a stand for them. That is his nature- putting the best ones into the Iowa Hawkeyes and standing for them. In that respect, Tom Brands looks forward to welcoming another young talent on his roster.

The brotherhood in Iowa Hawkeyes wrestling in 2024

In the latest announcement, the Iowa Hawkeyes men’s wrestling program informed about the inductance of Joey Kennedy. The Minnesota-born wrestler himself shared an IG post on that with a caption, “JOOOEEEY!!!” But with that, he formed a trio in the Iowa team whose brothers are already in the Hawkeyes. Previously, Dru Ayala and Kael Voinovich knitted that pair of siblings’ criteria. Reportedly, brothers Drake Ayala and Victor Voinovich formed the pack Tom Brands coached in the Hawkeyes. For Joey, his brother Patrick Kennedy plays that sibling role as the latter holds the 165-category in the Iowa Hawkeyes.

However, still on a few points, Joey made a difference with Dru and Kael. In the Hawkeyes’ pack, Joey’s joining came as the out-state product. But both Dru and Kael had registered themselves as the in-state product in the squad. Moreover, there are a few more similar sibling stories as well in Iowa Hawkeyes.

The Ferrari brothers are on the list

Recently, Angelo Ferrari released the news of his commitment to the Iowa Hawkeyes. The middle brother Anthony Ferrari already had posted his name as the Hawkeyes’ wrestler in the past. But after the Cowboy wrestling program in Oklahoma, the Iowa Hawkeyes has yet to see him on the roster. But A. J. Ferrari’s chance to be in blue is brewing nowadays as well. His announcement of wrestling in another season fueled the discussion. But as of now, concrete discussion is not on the track.

But apart from the mentioned ones earlier, a few more siblings are there in the 2024 pack. The Siebrecht and Martinson brothers shared the same characters as well, who found their positions in the Hawkeyes’ team. Now, witnessing such an outrageous amount of brotherhood in the team, Tom Brands would have to find a way to use those connections in the camp’s performance.
