David Taylor is fixated on defending his Olympic gold

Taylor qualified for the 2024 Olympic qualifiers in style thanks to his gold medal win at the 2023 World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia. But his foes will be waiting to pounce in Paris as soon as the hustle and bustle of the opening ceremony shimmers down. In the 86kg weight category, Taylor will once again come face to face with his long-time rival Hassan Yazdani of Iran, who picked up a silver at the World Championships last year. Puerto Rico’s Ethan Ramos is also expected to give Taylor a run for his money with the former running high after his dominant display of skills on the mat at the PanAm Championships.
