This year has been fortunate for Team USA at the World Wrestling Championships. Unlike last year, USA wrestlers are sparking on the world mat at Tirana, Albania. Not only men but also women wrestlers are paving their way to stand atop the podium while adding medals to the collection. Thus, the USA’s women’s freestyle wrestling team has reached the fourth position in the tournament.

On Friday, the latest medal to the collection is added by USA’s 19-year-old prodigy. Walnut Creek’s unstoppable phenom not only aims at dominating the championships but also makes the survival of opponents difficult on the mat. Therefore, she has always succeeded in pleasing wrestling spectators throughout the tournament. Eventually, she added the 8th consecutive world title to her collection.

Interestingly, as India’s Reetika Hooda dominated the mat on 27th October by trouncing her American counterpart, Kennedy Blades in the 76kg bracket. However, Amit Elor compensated for the defeat the next day by clinching the victory against her Indian opponent in the 72kg category.

On Friday, Elor entered the world arena and locked horns with India’s wrestling sensation, Jyoti Berwal. Then, she made it difficult for the Indian opponent to survive on the world mat. Dominating in the 72kg bracket, Elor made this significant achievement with the help of two wins and a technical fall in the match.

She not only emerged victorious, but also made an exceptionally remarkable move in the showdown. Spinner Jyoti Berwal from behind, she tied her leg and then turned her to point four. Therefore, she passed flying colours on World Mat while defending her world title and adding 8th to the tally.

Amit recorded her remarkable feat in just 21 seconds on the World Wrestling championships’s final takedown. Consecutively, she secured her second U23 World Championships gold at Tirana. In addition to this, she already features U20, U23 and Senior world championships titles this year.
