At a mere 19 years old, Amit features an impressive resume with a two-time senior world championship title, a three-time U20 World championship title, and a U17 and U23 World Championships title. In addition to this, she is also the first American wrestler to win each world championship title.

She will be moving to Albania this year to compete for her U23 World championship title. Today, she will compete against her opponent, Zaineb Sghaier, from Tunisia. While Amit Elor is ranked at the 6th position in the world rankings, Zaineb is currently holding the 7th position. Therefore, spectators are thrilled to watch this upcoming intense showdown.

Why is she switching from 72 Kg?

However, the only attraction at U23 World Championship 2023 is Amit Elor switching from her previously fought 72 Kg wrestling category. Although she will compete in the 72kg category this time, she must switch to the Olympics weight class. The primary reason behind this switch is that 68 kg, 76kg, and 78kg weight classes are unavailable in the Olympics 2028.

Overall, as she is performing exceptionally well on the world mat, it is pretty evident that she is far from ending. But, with her impressive series of world titles this year, she is girded up to clinch another glory to her name. Now the question is: Are you ready to witness unstoppable Amit Elor?
