She is one of the most incredible Paralympians ever in the history of Paralympics. The 32-year-old American competes in both Summer and Winter Paralympics and the champion has won gold in both.
The Ukrainian-born American started her journey in the Beijing Winter Paralympics 2022 with a gold medal in para biathlon women’s sprint sitting, followed by a silver medal in women’s middle-distance sitting. So far, she is dominating the Beijing Paralympics with amazing performances in every event that she has taken part in.

Oksana Masters’ journey from Ukraine to Paralympics
If you look at her story, it’s filled with obstacles, but the only thing she cares about is emerging as a champion through every one of them. She was born in Ukraine a few miles away from Chernobyl Nuclear Plant which gave her serious health issues as a child. At a very young age, she lost both her legs, and life was far from okay. However, Oksana refused to give up and today she is an icon for all those who dream of doing something impossible.

After winning her fifth Paralympic gold in Beijing, Oksana Masters shared an emotional message in an Instagram post on the ongoing European crisis. The turn of events in her homeland has pierced her deeply, and she feels guilty about not being able to do anything.
