It’s official. Gabby Douglas has parted ways with the World Olympic Gymnastics Academy (WOGA). The all-around Olympic gold medalist had been training rigorously with her coaches, Anastasia Liukin, and her husband for a long time and working on her comeback. However, she has left the academy even before testing herself out in an elite contest.

This has thrown every American gymnastics fan into a big frenzy, especially when the Paris Olympics are just 149 days away. While everyone is speculating where Gabby Douglas will go next, one possibility of her training alongside Simone Biles has suddenly surfaced. A new social media development has a twist to it.

The World Champions Center added a new tweet on X saying, “I can confirm that Gabby is not training at WCC.” The tweet came in response to a gymnast suggesting that Gabby Douglas may make WCC her new training grounds. Notably, the WCC is the same academy where gymnastics GOAT Simone Biles trains for her routines.

The haste with which the gymnastics training academy rolled out a response is giving off a suspicious scent to fans. The X account that suggested the WCC move by Gabby Douglas is throwing several predictions. However, while the World Champions Center could have ignored the tweet, it chose to deliver a quick response.

The fresh development has once again raised speculations about finding the two stars together, albeit in the practice arena. While any response regarding this is yet to come from Gabby’s side, the present scenario is giving her a tough time.

Will Gabby Douglas be able to reach the Paris Olympics?

Gabby Douglas has been in troubled waters lately. She was supposed to flap and test her wings after eight long years at the 2024 US Winter Cup. However, she was forced to miss the contest because of Covid-19. Apart from extending her hiatus, this has also made her fall short on time.

Gabby Douglas has not yet qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics. With less than five months remaining, not many contests remain where she can punch a ticket to the Paris Olympics. Moreover, after staying away from top-notch competition for such a long time, it might not be the best idea to jump straight into a do-or-die competition. Under the circumstances, it remains to be seen if the London Olympics champ can stand against all the odds to touch the holy grail of Paris this year.
