WATCH: American Mom Sets Deadlift World Record With Insane Strength

Every mother is a strong mother, but Tamara Walcott is literally the strongest mother in the world. The American powerlifter holds various world records in the sport of powerlifting, and she breaks another one of her records just two days prior to International Women’s Day.

Tamara Walcott is a six-time deadlift champion and a mother of two children. Prior to 2018, she was obese and suffering from an eating disorder. However, she changed all that about her and instead became the strongest woman in the world.

Tamara Walcott broke her previous powerlifting record

On March 6, the 38-year-old American broke her previous deadlift record of 288.5-kilogram (636-pound) and set a new world record by lifting 291-kilograms (641 pounds) in Elephant Bar deadlift. She showcased this amazing feat at the Arnold Sports festivals (ASF) held in Columbus, Ohio.

Tamara Walcott is an inspiration for all

Life wasn’t always this great for Tamara. The strongest woman in the world and a mother of two children had gone through a lot. Before she started powerlifting, she weighed 415 pounds, had a divorce, and was suffering from obesity.

She said, “I had lost control of so much, so being in control of weight lifting felt empowering. At the time, my goal was to one day deadlift 315 pounds. I did not know that four years later I would lift more than double that and set a world record.”

Tamara Walcott is the proof that if you set your mind to something you want, there’s nothing in the world that can stop you from achieving it.
