The 94th Academy Awards was held on 27th March at the Dolby Theatre. The Oscars are the most awaited awards of the year. This year, 3-time Olympic champion Shaun White was also there as a presenter. He was accompanied by famous snowboarder Tony Hawk and American surfer Kelly Slater.

White was there to pay a tribute to James Bond along with the other two athletes. While on stage, Hawk and White engaged in a hilarious GOAT debate about who’s the ultimate king of their sport.

Shaun White and Tony Hawk got the opportunity to pay a tribute to the ultimate king, the 007; James Bond. Kelly Slaton also accompanied the duo on stage. Decked in black and white tuxes, the 3 athletes looked ready for the Red Carpet.

“It’s impossible to ever be certain that just one star was clearly the GOAT,” said Shaun. Hawk was quick with his reply and said, “Well I don’t know about that there are a few athletes who you clearly know are the greatest in their field”.

Tony Hawk took a dig at Shaun White, commenting on how he “used” to be one of the GOATs’.

“Really dude,” Shaun White rolled his eyes.

I’m talking about you two of course at least it used to be,” said Tony. Slaten then jumped in to give his opinion regarding being the Greatest of All Time.

“Well, we tried our best to be game-changers in our respective sports.”

It was light-hearted banter between the 3 athletes, who are extremely talented in the won sport. While Shaun is a 3-time Olympic champion, Hawk himself is one of the most experienced skateboarders in the world. In fact, it was Tony Hawk who majorly inspired White to take up skateboarding. Meanwhile, Kelly Salter has won the World Surf League a record 11 times.

Who did White take to the Oscars?

Before the Oscars, it was assumed that girlfriend Nina Dobrev would accompany Shaun White to the Oscars. Notably, Nina is away shooting in Greece and therefore could not be there.
