Rodeo events are filled with several failed rides. Despite how common it is, one can never get used to seeing a rider fall off his bull. Riders keep honing their skills to ensure a higher success rate. However, the real fun of rodeo sports lies in their unpredictability.

Sometimes, this unpredictability lands riders in very dangerous situations. While bulls usually gallop mindlessly even after a rider falls off them, sometimes things take a scary turn. A video of a failed ride has gone viral on social media and is chilling the spines of rodeo fans.

The rodeo rider counts his lucky stars

Psychologists identify fear as one of the primary emotions of the human mind. While people usually avoid fearful encounters, many people crave the adrenaline rush that it brings. However, despite the quest for fear and risk being voluntary, things can easily go south. A similar thing happens with rodeo players from time to time. None of the riders are strangers to the risk of bull riding. However, one doesn’t stare death in the face every day. While riders train hard to conquer the bulls, the bulls also train to keep the challenge steaming fresh. The viral video captured the sheer amount of dread faced by a rodeo rider after a terrible failure. The rider took a vicious fall and landed neck-first while spinning.

The rider recovered from the fall but was still on his knees. He expected the bull to gallop away as usual but was horrified as the bull attacked him with his horns. The rider was forced to move around on his knees, as he had no time to get up. The bull had completely locked its focus on the unfortunate rider. Just when his knees couldn’t save him anymore, the rider was yanked away from danger by a bullfighter. The rider escaped serious injury by the margin of a hair. Fortunately, the rider got the chance to count his lucky stars with all his limbs intact. Fans reacted to the scary video on social media and expressed their fear for the rider.
