The American Rodeo, being one of the premier annual events, has turned several dreams into reality. Entailing almost a hundred qualifying events throughout the year, the athletes proceed to the regional showdowns. But the ongoing central regional finals have eyes elsewhere.

JB Mauney, the 37-year-old former bull riding specialist, recently bid goodbye to his athletic career in the wake of an injury. But legends can’t keep themselves off for long. A while ago, he joined his long-term friend Dale Brisby, who’s been a household name for years, in hosting The 2024 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. However, he registered in the AR record book too alongside another great.

Icon JB Mauney calls fans to get hooked on his show

Career transitions are common among retired athletes. But to Mauney, it’s way beyond that. To capture the thrill of the game off-stage and engage in giggle sessions, the multiple PBR Rookie of the Year title winner joined compatriot Luke Branquinho for The Mauney Cast. The one-of-a-kind show is brought to you by Teton Ridge, the home of top-class Western sports, lifestyle, and high entertainment. The caption of Teton Ridge’s Instagram post reads, “AND WE’RE BACK. Live from OKC at the American Rodeo Central Regional Finals”.

From the setting, it’s clear that the phenoms are game for some chit-chats. “If you don’t watch The Mauney Cast, you’re….” caught Mauney issuing a warning note to his fans. But messiah Branquinho said, “you got image to uphold here“. Even though JB Mauney stopped at that, the two had a brief conversation over ‘profanity‘ and who’s the key man of the show.
