The rodeo world excited about one of the most exciting events

The Cinch Playoffs will be taking place at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls from the 28th of September to the 30th of September 2023. This playoff will play a crucial role for all the ProRodeo athletes, as it will give them one last chance to qualify for the Wrangler Nationals Finals Rodeo.

The competitors will inculcate the top four finishers from every event at the Cinch Playoffs that was held in Puyallup earlier in September. And the top eight standings from the Playoff Series presented by Pendleton Whisky. All these competitors will be competing in two complete go-rounds before the finalization of the top eight. These eight will be heading towards the semi-finals.

The prize money and all the events to be presented have been decided. According to the Pro Rodeo, the first two rounds will have a cumulative prize money of $25,000 per event. Let us have a further look at the detailed distribution of prize money, the events, and the players.

The detailing of events and prize money in the Governor’s Cup?

With the purse of $1.1m, this is going to be one of the huge rodeo events. Keeping the competition and competitors in consideration, the prize money has been carefully distributed. At the Cinch Playoffs Governor’s Cup, the rounds on the 28th and 29th of September will be paying $10,000 to the person securing the first position. $7,500 to the second position, $5,500 to the third, and $2,500 to the fourth position.

Similarly, on the 30th of September, it will be a fresh start for the contenders with the top eight in the average from rounds 1 and 2. The top four scores will be upgraded to a final round and will be offered even bigger pay. The athlete securing the first position will be getting $25,000, the second will be getting $19,000, the third will attain $12,000, and the fourth position will get $6,000.

It is going to be an exciting event with entertaining competitions like Bareback Riding, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping Headers, Team Roping Heelers, Saddle Bronc Riding, Tie-Down Roping, Bull Riding, Barrel racing, and Breakaway Roping.
