Competitive sports come with various levels of difficulty. While some of them are easy to pick up but difficult to master, others are hard right from the start. The category of rodeo sports comes in the latter class. However, this cowboy with a net worth of over $1 million makes it look easy every time he dons his riding shoes. This flamboyant cowboy is none other than celebrated rodeo Stetson Wright.

Stetson Wright is a hardcore rodeo from the state of Utah. Joining the traditional and challenging sport in 2018, he has already established himself as a star. In his most recent achievement, the ace rodeo has qualified for the semi-finals of the 2023 Cheyenne Frontier Days.

Stetson Wright joined the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association five years ago. However, he has already won five world titles in this short span of time. This means he has won at least one world title every year. Notably, three of those titles have been awarded to him in the all-around category. The star rodeo athlete recently obtained a score of 90 points two times in a row at the 2023 Cheyenne Frontier Days.

The Utah rodeo was the first to claim a berth for the semi-finals of the Cheyenne Frontier Days. He rode Chad Berger’s Trump Train to obtain his ticket to the semi-finals. Stetson Wright humbly credited his high score to his ride, saying that Berger’s bulls always give him the upper hand. The other semi-finalists crossed an average score of 85.5 points in the contest.

The upcoming rodeo semi-finals

Stetson Wright will be joined by four other rodeo stars at the semi-finals. Cullen Telfer, Trey Holston, Parker Breding, and Tyler Taylor will compete with the Utah-based champion. The Cheyenne Frontier Days are one of the most prestigious rodeo events on the globe. Despite his short career, Wright is already being compared to several rodeo legends. Stetson Wright partakes in all Roughstock rodeo events. His selection of categories and his outstanding proficiency in the sport has drawn several comparisons with Hall of Famer Ty Murray.

Like the Hall of Famer, Stetson Wright is also an expert when it comes to bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, and bull riding. Moreover, he is the second rodeo in the history of PRCA to emerge victorious in the all-around category in the first three years of his career. Wright is also the second cowboy from the state of Utah to win the all-around title. While his family was already playing the sport, he was the first member among their ranks to partake in competitive bull riding. All eyes will now be on him and his next match-winning performance at the Cheyenne grounds.
