“She Believed in Me Before She Even Met Me”- US Paralympic Star Oksana Masters Makes an Emotional Statement on Her Mother

If there’s any word that can describe US Paralympian Oksana Masters, it’s ‘magnificent’ or perhaps ‘incredible.’ Her performance in Beijing Paralympics 2022 is indeed one of the best performances by any para-athlete for team USA in the Paralympics. After winning a total of seven medals in Beijing, she has entered the league of most decorated Olympians of all times.

During the Paralympics, the Ukrainian-born American was deeply affected by the tension going on in her birth land. However, the champion carried herself throughout the Paralympics with unnatural strength, and by the end of it; she was a GOAT.

Oksana Masters gives credit to mom for her every achievement

After a spectacular run at the Beijing Paralympics, Oksana Masters talks about her relationship with her mom. The Paralympic champion is forever grateful for everything her mother has done for her. She said, “My relationship with my mom is just, honestly, it’s so hard to describe it and to put it into words.”

Oksana further added, “She is my hero. She believed in me more than I ever believed in myself. In general life, but also as an athlete, she believed where I could be. She believed in me before she even met me. She believed in me so much that I wanted to prove her right.” 

The Best performer of the Beijing Paralympics 2022

With three gold and four silver medals, Oksana Masters was the top performer for team USA at Beijing Paralympics 2022. This was her sixth Paralympics appearance, and the legend made every single event count for a medal.
