Hawk posted a video on his Instagram handle on Wednesday, and the moves he is seen attempting in the clip are unmissable for skateboarders. In the video captioned “Going hard in no paint” the Carlsbad native can be seen with a basketball in his hands. The vertical skateboarding sensation traverses the length of the pipe, dribbles the ball to the opposite side, returns, and successfully executes a slam dunk while airborne above the second half pipe. Now that was something that has left everyone amazed by the sheer amount of fluency it holds.

Hawk has been a trailblazer of insane tricks and has set some incredible world records that were unmatched for so many years. One such maneuver that became a trademark of Hawk was the 900 trick, which he set during the 1999 X Games. This was a record that remained untouched for almost 21 years after an 11-year-old broke the record in 2020 by replicating the trick. This is just one of the many world records held by Birdman, and fans continue to be awed by his flawless moves, as evident in this recent video.

Fans are all hearts for the skateboarding legend
The man who invented several limitless skateboarding tricks remains a beloved athlete amongst fans, even after years of retirement. Tricks like the 360 flip mute to fakie, 360 frontside rock ‘n’ roll, The 720, and 85 more have left fans awestruck for years, as did the one he attempted in the recent video. A fan admired Hawk’s skills and wrote, “He’s the tony hawk of skateboarding.” One other fan appreciated his basketball and skateboarding fusion and stated, “The dribble after the drop-in is wild.”

One fan drew comparisons to Kobe Bryant, as his dribble in the midst of the trick amazed the fan as he playfully dubbed him, “Kobe Hawk.” There were several applauding comments, like “Truly the Renaissance man of our time” and “So good it could be AI,” which represent the sentiments of the fans and the love they have for the skateboarding sensation.
