The 53-year-old Tony is currently recovering from a femur injury he suffered a couple of days ago. Given his age, the injury might take longer than usual to heal. However, no injury can diminish his spirit towards skateboarding. After the injury, Tony said“I’ve said many times that I won’t stop skating until I am physically unable. A broken leg – with plenty of hardware – will probably be the biggest test of that creed.”

‘Tony Hawk- Until the Wheels Fall Off’ will raise money for the people of Ukraine

World peace is going through a troublesome phase amidst the ongoing European crisis. While several organizations are coming forward to provide aid to the victims of the conflict, many individuals are also doing their part in arranging help. Before its release on April 5, a special screening of Tony Hawk’s documentary is being organized in Los Angeles to raise money for providing humanitarian relief in Ukraine.

Most of the people would quit playing at Tony’s age, but he is not most people. His love for skateboarding is beyond anything he has in his life. At the age of 53, he is still doing his insane tricks as he use to do as a teenager. Even a serious injury couldn’t restrain him from his beloved game.

When asked about why he adores the game so much, he said, ‘The answer is complicated, but ultimately it’s because I have found my sense of purpose and shaped my identity through skating, and it nourishes my mental health immensely.”
